Federal Auditor General Presents Annual Report to Parliament

Federal Auditor General Meseret Damtie presented the 2024/25 fiscal year annual audit report to federal legislators on July 6, 2026. The report covers financial and compliance audits conducted on 163 federal public institutions. Additionally, the presentation included findings from 39 performance audits, consisting of 31 new assessments and eight follow-up reviews. The Auditor General’s findings highlighted persistent weaknesses in public financial management, specifically exposing significant gaps in budget execution, flaws in internal controls, and ongoing challenges within revenue collection processes across federal entities.
