Taranis Acquires Majority Stake in 50MW Corbetti Geothermal Project

London-based impact investor Taranis has acquired a majority stake in Ethiopia’s 50 MW Corbetti geothermal project. The company has committed up to 27 million US dollars to advance exploratory drilling operations for the planned power plant. According to the Ecofin Agency, this investment is intended to bolster the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the country. The project aims to contribute significantly to Ethiopia's power generation capacity once fully operational.
