Two government civil servants killed in drone strike in western Oromia

Two local government employees were killed in a drone strike in Ababo Guduru Woreda, located in the Horo Guduru Wollega Zone of western Oromia, on Friday, October 23. The victims have been identified as Bashana Lammesa, from the Woreda Job Creation and Enterprise Office, and Addisu Tamasgen, from the Woreda Land Administration Office. According to local residents and relatives who spoke to the media, both individuals died instantly during the strike. A third person who was accompanying the victims also sustained injuries in the incident. The attack highlights the ongoing security challenges in the Oromia region.
