Ethiopia’s return to a sea port is inevitable: Navy Commander

Ethiopian Navy Commander, Commander Kindu Gezu, stated that Ethiopia’s return to a sea port is inevitable. He emphasized the necessity of working closely with regional countries through dialogue to achieve this goal. These remarks were made on Friday, following the conclusion of a regional maritime security forum organized by the Ethiopian Navy Headquarters.

The forum, supported by the European Union, brought together naval commanders and representatives from Yemen, Oman, Djibouti, Somaliland, and Puntland. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed joint approaches to maritime search and rescue operations, as well as addressing broader regional security challenges.
