Egypt agrees to support Saudi Arabia in fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen

A high-ranking Egyptian security body announced on Sunday that it has agreed to support Saudi Arabia in its ongoing war against Houthi rebels in Yemen. This decision follows repeated requests from Saudi Arabia seeking military support from its allies. Houthi rebels have frequently targeted Saudi oil infrastructure and airports using missiles and drones. This move by Egypt is intended to bolster Saudi Arabia's defensive capabilities and stabilize the security situation in the region. Military and security officials from both countries are expected to discuss the specifics of how this support will be implemented. The impact and nature of this assistance are expected to become clearer in the coming days.
