Getachew Reda: Tigray to be under Command Post, elections to be held

Getachew Reda announced that the Tigray region will now be governed by a federal command post following the withdrawal of TPLF leaders from Mekelle. He stated that elections will be organized within six months to establish a new, legitimate administration. Security in the region will be jointly maintained by the Ethiopian National Defense Force and the Tigray Peace Forces. Displaced residents from Western Tigray are expected to return to their homes. Getachew emphasized that TPLF leaders will not return to power, and the electoral board will oversee the upcoming vote.
