Diaspora Humanitarian Efforts: Anne Ajjama's Development Work

Anne Ajjama, a member of the Ethiopian diaspora based in the United States, has been actively engaged in humanitarian work across Ethiopia. Through her organization, Numaan, founded in Minnesota in 2020, she provides support to vulnerable populations, including displaced persons in Bishoftu and low-income women in Western Wellega. Her initiatives have included building homes, distributing cattle, and providing clean water solutions and sanitary products to women and girls. Ajjama emphasizes that her objective is not just short-term aid but to empower communities to become self-reliant. She continues to support various local development projects aimed at improving livelihoods.
