41 Killed in Drone Attack in Sudan
Human rights group Emergency Lawyers reported that 41 people were killed in a drone attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan's Blue Nile state near the Ethiopian border. The attack targeted a camp for displaced people in the Abu Shandi area, with preliminary reports indicating that the majority of victims were women and children. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) condemned the incident as horrifying, noting that the region has faced repeated attacks in recent weeks. Since 2023, the ongoing war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF has displaced over 14 million people and caused one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Millions remain without access to critical health services as the conflict shows no sign of abating.
