Ethiopian Securities Exchange Admits Ninth Trading Member

The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) has admitted Prize Worth Investment Bank S.C. as its ninth trading member. The bank officially received its membership certificate on October 22, 2026, following regulatory approval from the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) and fulfillment of ESX operational requirements. This membership authorizes the bank to execute securities transactions on behalf of its clients through the exchange's trading platform. ESX CEO Yodit Kassa noted that expanding the network of qualified intermediaries is crucial for building market confidence and increasing investor access. The exchange, established to provide alternatives to traditional bank financing, continues to work on formalizing the country's secondary market trading infrastructure.
