African Leaders to Gather in Egypt for Business Summit

African leaders are scheduled to gather in Egypt on Friday for a major business summit aimed at strengthening Cairo's influence across the continent. The event, named the inaugural Alamein Africa Forum, will run for three days. Egypt hopes that hosting this high-level forum will help reassert its diplomatic and economic standing within Africa. The initiative comes at a time when other global powers, particularly China and Gulf nations such as the United Arab Emirates, have expanded their presence and become dominant investors and key players on the continent. The summit serves as part of Cairo's broader strategic push to build economic partnerships and regain a central role in pan-African affairs.
