Visa and ETTA partner to digitize Ethiopian commerce with contactless infrastructure

ETTA Solutions PLC and Visa have entered a strategic partnership to revolutionize Ethiopia's digital payment landscape. The initiative aims to deploy 148,000 contactless payment terminals across the country. This project focuses specifically on empowering small and micro-enterprises with modern 'tap-to-pay' infrastructure. It represents the largest merchant digitization program ever launched in Ethiopia. The agreement is designed to enhance secure transactions and streamline commerce for local businesses.
