Journalists across both urban and rural areas are increasingly utilizing tools like ChatGPT to assist with note-taking, replacing traditional methods. Additionally, editors are employing AI transcription technology to transcribe and translate Amharic interview audio into English. This technological shift is altering standard media workflows within the country. While these tools offer efficiency, they also present new challenges and questions regarding the future of the profession.
