12th Tana Forum to be Held in Bahir Dar

The 12th Tana Forum is scheduled to take place in Bahir Dar from October 23 to 25, 2026, under the theme "Pathways to Peace in Africa: Economic Sovereignty and Geopolitical Transformation." According to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the forum provides a crucial space for African leaders, policymakers, researchers, and security experts to deliberate on continental issues from an African perspective.

The forum draws inspiration from traditional "tree-shade discussions," emphasizing the principle of "African solutions to African problems." Having served as a platform for over a decade, the event aims to translate shared priorities into practical actions, contributing significantly to Africa's formal peace and security frameworks and fostering deeper cooperation among nations.
