Emirates Businesswomen Council Eyes New Investment Opportunities in Ethiopia

The Emirates Businesswomen Council has highlighted growing investment opportunities in Ethiopia, aiming to deepen economic cooperation. Between 2021 and 2025, bilateral trade between the UAE and Ethiopia reached 5.6 billion USD. Council representatives cited Ethiopia’s abundant natural resources, favorable climate, and large labor force as key factors for investment attractiveness. They also praised Ethiopia’s Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda and infrastructure improvements in transport and energy. The council plans to explore partnerships with Ethiopian women entrepreneurs, specifically targeting sectors like agriculture, AI, and processed foods to strengthen future business ties.
