Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda secure wins in 2028 Olympic qualifiers

Three teams from the CECAFA zone, including Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda, have secured victories in the second round of the 2028 CAF Women's Olympic Games qualifiers. The Ethiopian women's national team defeated hosts Rwanda 1-0 in Kigali on Wednesday, thanks to an own goal by Lydia Uzayisenga. Meanwhile, Kenya dominated Seychelles with an 11-0 victory in Nairobi, and Uganda managed a 2-1 win against Zambia on Thursday. These results mark a strong start for the CECAFA representatives in the Olympic qualification campaign.
