Kacha, Mastercard Ink Deal to Expand Card Issuance in Ethiopia

Kacha Digital Financial Service SC has signed a five-year partnership agreement with Mastercard to expand card issuance services in Ethiopia. The deal allows Kacha to issue payment cards directly to its customers. Furthermore, the company will provide card-issuing capabilities to other banks, microfinance institutions, and fintech companies in the country. This collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility of digital payment solutions across Ethiopia. The rollout of these services is subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
