Kacha Partners with Mastercard for Card Services in Ethiopia

Kacha Digital Financial Service SC has signed a five-year agreement with Mastercard to expand card issuance in Ethiopia. Under the partnership, Kacha will issue payment cards directly to its customers and provide card-issuing capabilities to other banks, microfinance institutions, and fintech companies. The initiative aims to enhance digital payment infrastructure across the country. The rollout of these services is currently pending final regulatory approvals.
