Ethio Telecom Projects ETB 127 Billion Operating Profit

Ethio Telecom has projected an operating profit of ETB 127 billion for the current fiscal year. The state-owned telecom giant plans to disburse ETB 43.1 billion in dividends to the government and its public shareholders. This financial growth is attributed to robust revenue expansion, large-scale job creation, and strategic capital investments.

The company also expects to make a total contribution of ETB 83.8 billion in direct and indirect taxes to the Ethiopian government. Additionally, Ethio Telecom is engaged in deploying cross-border fiber optic infrastructure through Kenya, which is expected to connect 20 percent of the country's zonal administrations.
