Phone and internet services in Mekelle, the capital of the Tigray region, have been restored after being out of service for 10 consecutive days. Residents of the city confirmed to Tikvah Ethiopia that the connection was re-established on Meskerem 24, 2019 E.C. (October 4, 2024). According to the reports, services officially resumed at 10:30 AM local time. The prolonged outage had significantly disrupted the daily lives and communication activities of the city's residents.
