Mekelle residents describe the current situation

Mekelle residents report that phone and internet services have been restored following the arrival of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and the Tigray Peace Force in the city. Residents stated that the city is gradually returning to normal operations and that the arrival of the military has provided them with a sense of hope. They alleged that before withdrawing, TPLF forces engaged in looting government institutions and properties. Residents expressed relief, noting that the youth are no longer living in fear of forced recruitment. The ENDF and Tigray Peace Force are currently patrolling the city and maintaining security.
