Dr. Fitsum Assefa Nominated as Minister of Finance

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has nominated Dr. Fitsum Assefa as the new Minister of Finance. Dr. Fitsum Assefa previously served as the Minister of Planning and Development. This nomination marks a significant change in the economic leadership of the Ethiopian cabinet. The appointment is pending parliamentary approval process. Dr. Fitsum brings extensive experience in economic planning to the new role.
