Security Situation and Resident Patrols in Adigrat City

Residents of Adigrat are organizing in their neighborhoods to protect their city from looters in the absence of official security forces. The Adigrat University community is also patrolling the campus to prevent looting. Reports indicate that the Tigray Peace Force, which is operating alongside the Ethiopian National Defense Force, is approaching the city, and that Adigrat is currently surrounded.
