Addis Ababa's Number 18 Roundabout to Close for Construction

The Addis Ababa Road Authority has announced that a major road construction project is underway on the Mercato-Mesalemiya to Number 18 roundabout route. This project involves the construction of an overpass and underpass bridge system to improve traffic flow in the area. Consequently, the Number 18 roundabout ring road will be temporarily closed to all traffic starting Saturday, September 30, 2019, E.C. To minimize disruption, the authority has designated specific alternative routes for heavy, medium, and light vehicles. Motorists are advised to follow these alternate paths during the construction period.
