Addis Ababa Tax Bureau Urges 'Category A' Taxpayers to Meet October 30 Deadline

The Addis Ababa Revenue Bureau has announced that the deadline for declaring and paying the 2018 fiscal year 'Category A' annual business profit tax is October 30, 2019 (EC). The Bureau urges taxpayers to complete their obligations before the deadline to avoid potential penalties and system congestion. As of the 2019 fiscal year, the entire 'Category A' tax filing and payment process has been moved online. This new system allows taxpayers to submit their financial records and perform transactions remotely without visiting offices, aiming to eliminate the queues and delays previously faced by taxpayers. Physical visits are now only required for finalizing payment receipts.
