Investigation period extended for EPP members

The Federal High Court has granted federal police seven additional days to complete investigations into EPRP members suspected of terrorism, reducing the police's requested 14-day extension. The police cited the need to organize evidence, analyze bank records, and hear remaining witness testimonies as reasons for the request. The court noted that it has reviewed forensic and technical evidence submitted so far. Defense lawyer Solomon Gezahegn stated that the court ruled this as the final extension for the investigation. The suspects' bail application is scheduled to be heard during the next court session on August 28, 2018 (E.C.).
