Court to Rule on Bail and Remand for EPRP Members Tomorrow

The Federal High Court has scheduled a ruling for tomorrow regarding the bail and remand request for detained EPRP members Yishaq Welday, Abebe Akalu, and Abera Nigus, who are suspected of terrorism. The police requested an additional 14 days to conclude investigations, citing the need to obtain medical evidence from Arba Minch, complete forensic and electronic evidence analysis, and review bank records. The suspects' defense lawyers argued that the police have already held the suspects for 31 days and requested that bail be granted, noting that concerns about potential flight or witness tampering lack sufficient evidence.
