Meskel Demera Holiday Celebrated Peacefully

The Ethiopian Federal Police has announced that the 2019 E.C. Meskel Demera holiday, celebrated nationwide including in Addis Ababa, concluded peacefully without any security incidents. It was stated that security forces had made the necessary preparations to ensure the celebration proceeded peacefully. The efforts made to allow worshippers to observe the holiday without fear were successful. Police expressed gratitude to the security forces and the public for their contribution to the peaceful conclusion of the event.
