South Ethiopia, Harari, South West, Benishangul-Gumuz, and Dire Dawa Form Governments

Government formation assemblies were held across several regional states and city administrations in Ethiopia, including South Ethiopia, Harari, South West Ethiopia, Benishangul-Gumuz, and the Dire Dawa city administration. During these official council sessions, regional councils formally appointed their respective regional presidents, while the Dire Dawa council designated its city mayor. Following their executive appointments, the newly named regional presidents and mayor presented their proposed cabinet nominees to their legislative councils. All submitted cabinet member lists were subsequently reviewed and approved by the councils. This coordinated step completes the executive leadership structuring for the newly formed regional administrations.
