Ethiopian Navy hosts four-day regional maritime forum in Addis Ababa

The Ethiopian Navy is currently hosting a four-day regional maritime forum in Addis Ababa. The event has brought together naval commanders from Yemen, Oman, Djibouti, Somaliland, and Puntland. Vice Admiral Kindu Gezu, the head of the Navy, presided over the opening ceremony as the guest of honor. During his remarks, he emphasized the strategic significance of fostering maritime cooperation across the Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea, and the western Indian Ocean. The workshop aims to enhance regional security coordination and strengthen ties between the naval forces of the participating nations. This initiative aligns with Ethiopia's broader goals regarding maritime security and regional stability.
