US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirms drone strike on Addis Ababa

Furthermore, Rubio expressed concern regarding the escalating tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Warning that the border standoff could potentially trigger a wider regional conflict, the Secretary stated that the US is striving to play a mediating role between the two nations. To facilitate this, he mentioned that the US is actively strengthening diplomatic engagement with both Ethiopia and Eritrea through ongoing dialogue.
