Saudi airstrike in Yemen kills at least 33 people
Houthi-affiliated media report that at least 33 people, including women and children, were killed in an airstrike carried out by the Saudi-led coalition in the city of al-Shariya. Footage from the Houthi-controlled Al Masirah TV station shows rescue workers recovering bodies from the rubble of destroyed buildings. The Houthi-run Saba news agency added that 39 other individuals were wounded in the attack. Saudi Arabia has not commented on the specific incident but stated earlier that it intercepted a missile heading towards Riyadh. The United Nations reports that since the conflict reignited, over 1,600 people have been killed and more than 300,000 have been displaced. Houthi leadership has vowed to retaliate for the airstrikes.
