ECA Concludes Workshop on Inclusive and Shock-Responsive Social Protection

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and its partners have concluded a three-day interregional workshop held in Addis Ababa. The event brought together government officials and experts to discuss translating multidimensional poverty evidence into inclusive and shock-responsive social protection systems. Participants focused on turning data into practical policy reforms to expand service coverage and improve coordination. Discussions also centered on securing sustainable financing mechanisms to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of these social protection programs.
