TDP Chairman Criticizes TPLF’s Alleged Destabilization Efforts
Aregawi Berhe, Chairman of the Tigray Democratic Party (TDP), stated in an interview with ENA that the TPLF is attempting to cling to power through forced conscription and by exploiting civilians. Aregawi characterized these actions as signs of a bankrupt leadership that is disconnected from the desires of the Tigrayan people. He noted that the population in Tigray, exhausted by conflict, is increasingly voicing opposition against these mobilizations. Furthermore, Aregawi dismissed the 'Tsimdo' coalition as a conspiratorial alliance intended to destabilize Ethiopia through foreign collaboration. He claimed that this scheme was quickly neutralized and failed to gain traction. The TDP Chairman called on the TPLF to abandon its destructive path, urging all Ethiopian citizens to prioritize national stability and engage in constructive dialogue to resolve internal political differences.
