Tribute Paid to Abbaa Gadaa Bayyanaa Sanbato for Contributions to Irreecha

As the Irreecha festival is being celebrated, special tribute has been paid to Bayyanaa Sanbatoo, described as the Abbaa Gadaa of the Oromo struggle. His significant contributions toward revitalizing the Gadaa system and the Irreecha celebrations have been highlighted as immense. A historical account notes that during a visit to the United States in 2015, discussions and plans were made regarding his major vision. When asked about his greatest wish, he stated it was to return the Irreecha celebration to Finfinnee (Addis Ababa). Through continuous work following that vision, the celebration was successfully returned to the city during the period of political change.
