Dimtsi Weyane Tigray granted new license under 'Ma'edot Broadcasting'

The Ethiopian Media Authority has announced that the former Dimtsi Weyane Tigray radio and television station has been granted a new broadcasting license under the name 'Ma'edot Broadcasting Service.' Previously, the station's license had been revoked due to allegations of broadcasting illegal content and operating as a tool for war. The Ethiopian Media Authority reviewed and approved the request for a name change submitted by the Tigray Interim Administration. The administration stated that the name change was intended to allow the station to contribute positively to peace and stability in the region. The Authority has officially confirmed the granting of the license and called on relevant bodies to provide the necessary cooperation.
