Security situation in Adigrat and university protection efforts

Following the withdrawal of TPLF forces, the city of Adigrat in the Tigray region is currently without a security force. Residents are organizing themselves to protect the city from looters, while reports indicate that the Ethiopian National Defense Force and Tigray peace forces are advancing toward the city.

Meanwhile, the Adigrat University community has implemented strict security measures to protect the institution from looting under the slogan "Our institution cannot be violated." University leadership, staff, and the local community are collaborating, using security cameras and drones to monitor the facility, including through the night.
