Transformer for Addis West Substation arrives for installation

Ethiopian Electric Power has announced that a replacement transformer, dispatched from Arba Minch, has arrived in Addis Ababa to address issues at the Addis West substation. After being transported via Bishoftu and experiencing some delays on the road, the equipment has reached the Kolfe area. Installation works are scheduled to begin immediately to restore power to neighborhoods that have faced outages for over 15 days. The transport process was confirmed to be completed by 2:30 PM. It is expected that the power disruptions in the affected areas will be resolved shortly.
