Getachew Reda and senior government officials arrive in Mekelle

Ethiopian Airlines has resumed flights from Addis Ababa to Mekelle after a two-week suspension, with several senior government officials and Tigray peace force leaders on board the first flight. Notable passengers included former Tigray Interim Administration President Getachew Reda, Dr. Abraham Belay, Ambassador Redwan Hussien, and Tigray peace force commanders General Wodi Antiru and Major General Zewdu Kiros. This marks Getachew Reda's first return to Mekelle since he was removed from his position 19 months ago, where he was welcomed by local youth at Alula Aba Nega Airport. The delegation is expected to travel to Adigrat, located 35 kilometers from the Eritrean border, to hold discussions with residents.
