Power supply fully restored at Addis West substation

Ethiopian Electric Utility announced that the power supply has been fully restored following the repair of a transformer failure at the Addis West substation. Power was restored for customers starting at 9:00 AM on October 15, 2024. The repair work was completed through the joint efforts of technical teams from Ethiopian Electric Power and the Ethiopian Electric Utility. Areas that experienced power outages, including Kolfe, Tor Hailoch, Bethel, Mendida, and surrounding neighborhoods, have now regained full electricity access. The utility company thanked the public for their patience and apologized for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
