UN and Red Cross Deliver Humanitarian Aid to Tigray and Amhara Regions

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has announced the successful delivery of essential medicines, maternal and child health supplies, nutritional supplements, and educational materials to Mekelle, Tigray. These supplies are designated for distribution to families affected by the conflict in the region. Simultaneously, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in collaboration with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society, delivered seven truckloads of life-saving medical supplies to health facilities in Mekelle. Furthermore, the ICRC has provided critical medical resources to Lalibela and Sekota hospitals, as well as to the Kurba and Kulmesk health centers in the Amhara region to assist conflict-affected areas.
