Addis Ababa Security Bureau to Crack Down on Illegal Vehicle Pass Users

The Addis Ababa Peace and Security Administration Bureau has announced strict enforcement actions against drivers using illegal vehicle passes. The bureau clarified that official passes for city events are issued strictly through authorized institutions with official logos. However, monitoring has revealed that unauthorized individuals are using forged passes to circumvent traffic laws.

Illegal activities identified include violating traffic controls, speeding, driving in restricted lanes, misuse of car markers, and using illegal window tinting or VIP permits. The bureau stated it is taking corrective measures and prosecuting offenders to ensure the rule of law.
