Tigray Interim Administration to Resume Civil Servant Salary Payments

The Tigray Interim Administration has announced that it will begin paying salaries to civil servants in the region. Ato Redae Halefom, the Chief Executive for Political and Public Organization at the administration, stated that directives have been issued for civil servants to return to work. Studies have been completed to assess the requirements for resuming full government services and addressing unpaid salary arrears. Employees are being urged to report to their workplaces immediately. According to Ato Redae, salary payments will commence within days once staff resume their duties. This move aims to alleviate the significant economic hardships faced by public sector employees in the region due to the prolonged stoppage of payments.
