Killings and displacements reported in Shirka Woreda, Arsi Diocese

The Arsi Diocese has reported that Christians in Shirka Woreda are being killed and displaced from their homes. The diocese stated that attacks by armed groups are escalating over time. Despite repeated discussions by the Archbishop of Arsi, Abune Elsae, with relevant authorities to address the problem, no sustainable solution has been achieved.

The diocese has informed government bodies, up to the Ministry of Peace, regarding the crisis but has yet to receive a solution. Consequently, the diocese has called upon the Holy Synod and government authorities to intervene immediately to control the worsening security situation and find a resolution.
