Wolaita Sodo University brings fire incident under control

Wolaita Sodo University has successfully contained a fire that broke out today at its Social Sciences College building. University President Dr. Guche Gule confirmed that the blaze, which started around 10:00 AM local time, was limited to the top floor of the building. While the fire damaged the roof and windows of the structure, officials reported that major assets were evacuated safely and no significant property damage occurred. Although the official cause is under investigation, preliminary reports from people nearby suggest an electrical fault. Tikvah Ethiopia refuted social media rumors claiming the entire university was burning, clarifying the incident was minor and contained by the zonal and city fire departments.
