Ethio Telecom plans to provide 35 billion Birr in loans this fiscal year

Ethio Telecom has announced its plan to provide 35.04 billion Birr in micro-loan services to its customers through Telebirr during the 2019 fiscal year. The company has also set a target to reach a savings volume of 26.42 billion Birr. Furthermore, it aims to increase the number of Telebirr users by 7.1 million, reaching a total of 67.69 million subscribers. The company projects a total of 4.99 billion transactions for the fiscal year, which is expected to facilitate a financial flow of 7.4 trillion Birr through the digital payment system.
