War of words erupts between West Guji and Kore Zone officials

A war of words has broken out between West Guji Zone peace and security officials and the Kore Zone administration. The dispute began after Ayele Damba, the West Guji Zone official, claimed that the OLA (Shane) uses Kore as a logistics hub. The Kore Zone administration strongly condemned these remarks, labeling them false and insulting to the victimized population.

Ayele Damba subsequently clarified that while he was not accusing the Kore government structure of supporting the militants, he maintained that specific individuals in the area are engaged in illicit activities with the rebel group. Conversely, Kore Zone communication official Asheber Gezu rejected the allegations, stating that the people of Kore are themselves victims of violence and movement restrictions imposed by the militants.
