Addis Ababa Police cracking down on illegal tinted vehicle windows

The Addis Ababa Police Commission is conducting strict enforcement against vehicles using illegal tinted window stickers and unauthorized pass permits. According to Commander Abera Baisa, head of the Traffic Department, authorities have taken legal action against 1,111 vehicles within the past week alone.

Among those penalized, 899 drivers were found using expired or illegitimate window tint permits. Additionally, 153 motorcycle riders were fined for various traffic rule violations, and 59 vehicles were penalized for damaging roads by spilling soil. The police stated that this enforcement campaign will continue to ensure traffic safety and smooth flow within the city.
