Dr. Wondwosen Assefa transferred from Kilinto Zone 6 to Zone 4

Dr. Wondwosen Assefa, who was detained in 'Zone 6' of Kilinto Prison, has been transferred to 'Zone 4' following a hunger and medicine strike protesting his detention conditions. His lawyer, Solomon Gezahegn, confirmed that the prison administration reported the transfer to the court. Dr. Wondwosen has since resumed eating and taking his medication. Separately, the head of Kaliti Prison is expected to appear in court tomorrow regarding the case of detainees Ato Yohannes Buayalew and journalist Dawit Begashaw.
