Russia Expresses Readiness to Mediate Between Ethiopia and Eritrea

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Moscow is ready to facilitate dialogue to restore relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Lavrov recalled that Russia had previously offered Moscow as a neutral platform for the two countries to discuss their relations and reiterated that this offer still stands. He emphasized that if both Ethiopia and Eritrea express interest in such a dialogue, Russia is prepared to host and facilitate the discussions immediately or in the future.
