Ethiopian Red Cross Provides Over 68 Million Birr Aid in Tigray Region

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society has provided over 68 million Birr in aid, consisting of medicine, food, and financial support, to health facilities in the Tigray region. Over 3.5 million Birr of this amount was allocated for emergency food aid, including 240 quintals of wheat flour, 720 liters of cooking oil, and 7 quintals of salt, which will support 1,600 war-wounded individuals at Awash Hospital for one month. Additionally, the society distributed over 56 million Birr worth of medicines to six health centers, funded by the UK government's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. It was stated that this humanitarian support program will continue for the next two years.
